There is now another way to give to The Salvation Army. Through United Airlines Charity Miles Program, Mileage Plus members can donate accrued miles enabling The Salvation Army to move personnel quickly in time of disaster, provide travel for those in need of emergency medical care outside of their area, and reduce administrative costs by providing travel for staff. In partnership since 1999, these invaluable contributions provided travel for Salvation Army replacement personnel to Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks. Through these donations, a needy family was reunited with a repentant father dying of cancer. Through these donations, an eleven year old girl diagnosed with RSDS (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome), which left her with intense pain and unable to walk, received the specialized treatment she needed. There are many ways to change a life. We hope that this provides yet another way The Salvation Army can partner with you to do just that. How it works:

Kids' Day is a collaborative effort between The Modesto Bee and The Salvation Army to benefit children's programs at the Red Shield Center in South Modesto. Since its inception, Kids' Day has raised more than $628,407 to benefit the children who use the center in one of Modesto's poorest areas. This year Kids' Day will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2012. We want to exceed last years' goal and offer more help with the positive programs that are reaching youth in our community. With your help, we can do it! Here's how you can be part of this great community event:
