Clothing, Furniture, Household Goods Print E-mail

Our local Salvation Army Family Stores are located in Modesto, Stockton, Manteca, and Sonora.

If you would like to make a donation of household goods, clothing or furniture, call 1-800-SA-TRUCK or schedule online.

In a very real sense, The Salvation Army Family Stores are at the heart of the Adult Rehabilitation Center philosophy. These simple community stores serve several distinct purposes: our Family Stores provide quality clothing, furniture and other goods to the community at bargain prices. The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabiliation Centers are 100% funded from the proceeds of our Family Stores, allowing them to be self-sustaining. A major part of the men's and women's involvement in their own rehabilitation is Work Therapy. Some of this is done in the Family Stores allowing them to regain self-esteem and learn valuable vocational skills as well.

So you see, the Family Store is much more than meets the eye. It is an outlet for bargains, a donation center, a training site, and a place where neighbors can shop with dignity.

At your local Salvation Army Family Store you can find great deals and bargain prices on clothing, furniture, household goods, sporting equipment, books, electronics and much more.

Plus, your purchase directly funds The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers. That means that the bargains you find for yourself also help others by reclaiming lives and healing families.

kids day fundraiser

Kids' Day is a collaborative effort between The Modesto Bee and The Salvation Army to benefit children's programs at the Red Shield Center in South Modesto. Since its inception, Kids' Day has raised more than $628,407 to benefit the children who use the center in one of Modesto's poorest areas.

This year Kids' Day will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2012. We want to exceed last years' goal and offer more help with the positive programs that are reaching youth in our community. With your help, we can do it!

Here's how you can be part of this great community event:

  • Volunteer to sell papers on May 15th
  • Purchase Kids' Day papers to resell or donate to local schools
  • Remind your friends, employees and neighbors to have a $1.00 ready on May 15
  • Donate online
All sales last from 7:00am until 1:00pm. Read more here!
